Skyworks is a UK based independent production company specialising in top end high definition aerial filming - and then bringing this unique material to users in three distinct ways:

1. As clips which can be licensed by other programme makers from our archive, currently the largest HD aerials archive in the world with over 65,000 clips covering three continents.

2. Though the broadcast and web programmes we make ourselves - to date over 100 factual programmes for international broadcasters including the BBC, ITV, Discovery and the Smithsonian Network.

3. With new interactive platforms for web and mobile. We have just launched SAVI in the UK and SAVI mobile with help from Nokia. Avimap is another digital development that we are pioneering.

 

Our mission is to film the whole world from the air – with most of Europe, America and South Africa already covered, we are well on our way.  Our footage is all shot by us from helicopters equipped with the latest gyrostabilisation technology. We are lucky to have some of the best and most experienced aerial programme-makers and cameramen at Skyworks; our footage is acclaimed as being amongst the best in the world.

We always shoot from an editorial perspective; we are not just trying to record the world around us, but to showcase it for others and for ourselves to use in all forms of video communication. We are, in fact, telling stories from the sky.
